About 2023 G7 Trade Ministers' Meeting in Osaka-Sakai
2023 G7 Trade Ministers' Meeting in Osaka-Sakai discusses international trade issues as one of the G7 Summit Ministers’ Meetings. For the 2023 G7 Summit, this Meeting will be held Saturday, October 28 and Sunday, October 29 in Osaka-Sakai.
During the previous meeting held in Neuhardenberg, Germany, discussions were held on topics such as support for Ukraine's recovery, resilient and sustainable supply chains, WTO reform, and requirements for fair trade.
On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, Foreign Minister Hayashi and Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry Nishimura co-chaired the 1st G7 Trade Ministers' Meeting in Osaka-Sakai (via teleconference) where discussions were held about maintaining and enhancing free and fair trade and efforts to strengthen economic security. It was also confirmed that the outcome of the first meeting would be linked to the G7 Trade Ministers' Meeting to be held in Sakai, Osaka in October.
